Matt Janssen

Matt Janssen is from Wellsburg, Iowa in the North Central part of the state.   He lives there with his wife Sara and three children Libby, Tommy and Sam.

Matt has been in the feedlot and beef nutrition business for over 17 years.  He taught high school agriculture for the first 9 years of his career after graduating from Northwest Missouri State University  with a degree in Ag Education and Animal Science.   Matt has a passion for beef cattle nutrition and the people that work hard to feed our world.    The best part of the job for Matt is the people he has the privilege to work with.    Building solid relationships and helping producers with solid, experience based advise is very rewarding, “it is what gets me excited to get up and get going every morning.”

Outside of his career and work life Matt likes to spend time with his family.   His daughter enjoyed a successful high school sports career and is now attending college and is close to home.   Both of his sons love to show pigs and participate in various high school sports and activities as well, including FFA.  Matt also likes to travel with his wife on the rare opportunity they have with kids activities.
